Let me tell you a little about my Maisy girl…
She is 11.5, 82 pounds, an american bulldog-rot-lab mix who likes laying in the sun, chewing on sticks, and above all else – being with her people. Maisy has been with me since she was 4 moths old, and has seen me through a breakup and starting over, kept my terminally ill dad company and lent him comfort and love, followed me to a new state, and welcomed my first child
Maisy, 3-days pre-amputationinto the world three years ago.
We call her many things… Dozer, Moopa, Maisy Moose.
Last week we got xray results after she had been limping a few weeks, and the radiologist, veterinarian and a second vet. all had one word in mind, “osteosarcoma.”
We thought we would put her down… then we started reading, and researching, and spent quality time with her. And, suddenly we found ourselves deciding on amputation. Things moved FAST! And now we have a three-legged senior dog, and we are hoping and praying we made the right decision. That she will tolerate recovery, and be strong enough to live the rest of her days comfortable, happy and part of our pack.
Stay tuned for the journey…

I’m so sorry you had to join our club Maisy, but we are glad you found us. My guess is that you are going to tackle the recovery phase like nopawdy’s business, and show the world that you are unstoppable!
Thanks for inviting us into your journey on three. We can’t wait for more pupdates.
